"Johnnie B. Spurlock, 91, of Baton Rouge passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017. She was born June 23, 1926 in Olla, LA to John H. and Neva C. Black. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred O. Spurlock, and son, Charles D. "David" Spurlock. Johnnie is survived by her sons, Fred W. Spurlock (Wanda) of Monroe, John T. "Tim" Spurlock, Birmingham AL, Edward P. "Edd" Spurlock (Jayne), Benton, AR; grandchildren, Suzanne Spurlock, Austin, TX, Stacie Spurlock, Queens, NY, Brandi Milner (CR), Baton Rouge, Ethan Spurlock, Benton, AR; one great-grandson, Nathan, Baton Rouge. Johnnie was retired from L.S.U. where she served as a nurse for 25 years. A faithful follower of Christ, who served the Lord in various churches all her life. Visitation will be Saturday, August 12, 1:00 p.m. "“ 3 p.m. at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. A private graveside service will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
