

Joe lived a fun and fulfilled life, marked by strong determination and a deep passion for everything he did. He was compassionate, always ready to help, and possessed remarkable mental and physical strength. Despite facing many challenges, Joe never gave up. His ability to keep moving forward with a positive outlook was inspiring to all who knew him.
Joe’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his daughters, Sherri Brady (Chuck) and Shelly Stephens (Chad), his grandchildren, Hayleé Allen and Georgia Hedges, and his great-grandchildren, Jayda, Caroline, Jaylene, Clay, and Baby Allen. His love for them was immeasurable and they were his pride and joy.
Joe is also survived by his siblings: Wanda G. Edwards, Bobby Gauthier (Carol), Carl Gauthier (Patricia), and Johnny Gauthier. His family was everything to him and he will be deeply missed.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Hilda Rachal Gauthier, his father, Joseph Gauthier Sr., and his sister, Linda G. Guidry.
Known for his sense of humor, Joe loved telling funny stories and making silly sounds that kept everyone laughing. He also loved spending time outdoors, flying drones, and playing online games, especially World of Tanks. Joe was always eager to work his brain, embrace new adventures, and try new things. If you needed something built, Joe was your man. He had a gift for making things happen, whether big or small.
An unforgettable part of Joe’s personality was his love for disco music. As a true “Disco King” he never missed a beat when it came to dancing or playing his favorite tunes. His joy for life was contagious, and he shared it with everyone lucky enough to be around him.
Joe’s passing was unexpected and has left a hole in our hearts. His love, strength, and laughter will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Joe. You will always be loved and remembered.
A committal service will be held at 10:00 AM on April 5th at Greenoaks Cemetery, Crestview Chapel, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815. A celebration of life will follow at 18925 S. Harrells Ferry Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, where friends and family will gather to honor Joe’s memory.
