Josephine Luna Marble, age 85, has passed away at home after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a native of Donaldsonville, and resident of Central.
She was a wonderful woman who always had a pure and loving heart and soul. She gave her all to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Also, she was always a great and special friend to others. No one could ever provide the love, care, kindness, energy and unselfishness that she showered on us all. She will be heartbreakingly missed by everyone that knew her.
She is survived by her son, Danny Marble and wife Eva; daughter, Tammy Marble Parrino and husband Randolph; son, George Marble and wife Jeralyn; special sister, Olivia Luna and brothers, Luis and Tony Luna; grandchildren, Cody Marble, Taryn Parrino Morrow, Kristy Parrino James, Tony Parrino, Brandi and James Jordan, Levi and Nikki Barbier and London Marble and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Marble; parents, Jose and Olivia Ourso Luna; brothers, Augustin, Juan, Jose, Jr. and Frank, and one sister, Luz Luna.
Thanks to three special nieces who have shown so much love and care during her illness: Ramona Luna Matassa, Wanda Luna Fernandez, and Elaine Pearce; and our deep and heartfelt gratitude to Jeralyn for her beautiful and loving care to Mom in the last months of her life.
A private service will be held at a later date.
REV 14:13 “And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who from now on die in the Lord.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”
