Josephine C. Russo

A resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at age 91. Beloved aunt and nannie to her many nieces and nephews, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Robert Russo; father and mother, Anthony and Nancy Territo Cusimano; brothers: Anthony Cusimano, Johnny and wife Mildred Hebert Cusimano and Ciro Cusimano; and sisters: Lena Cusimano, Mary Cusimano, Jenny Cusimano Allelo and husband Charles, and Ann Cusimano Bellina and husband Bernard. Survived by her sister, Laura Cusimano Martina and husband Rosario; and brothers, Luke and wife Margaret Pizzolato Cusimano and Nick and wife Alice Grasso Cusimano, all of Baton Rouge; and sister-in-law, Juanita Brown Cusimano. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, Sept. 19, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a recitation of the holy rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visiting at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Road, on Saturday from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with the Rev. David Allen, celebrant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Serving as pallbearers will be Vincent Russo Jr., Michael Russo, Anthony Martina, Luke Cusimano, Stephen Russo and Bernard Bellina. A special thanks is hereby expressed to Violet Puckett and Susan Russo for their years of dedicated care.
