
Joseph Cascio died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, in his home. A native and resident of Baton Rouge, he was 52. He was retired from Gulf States Utilities/Entergy. He was a graduate of Lee High School and participated in the ROTC program. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran with the rank of sergeant. He was a good serviceman and a devoted husband and father to his children. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Ann Stuart Cascio, of Baton Rouge; a son, Joseph "Jay" A. Cascio, of Baton Rouge; two daughters, April C. Cascio and Melissa A. Cascio, both of Baton Rouge; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Ginger C. King, of Shawnee, Okla., Carolyn C. Bryant, of Melrose, Fla., and Madelyn C. and Rick Brandt, of Gainesville, Fla.; aunt, Amette Manino, of Metairie; uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Ramoin, of Baton Rouge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph Cascio was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Ramoin Cascio and Joseph D. Cascio; two aunts, Evelyn Altazin and Nan Cascio; and an uncle, Paul Cascio. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart St., on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Monsignor Berggreen as celebrant. Interment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hancock Bank in the name of Ann Cascio, P.O.
