“God saw you getting tired, a cure not meant to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, ‘Come with me.’ With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you fade away, although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your tender hands at rest. God took you home to prove to us, He only takes the best.” (Author unknown)
Joshua Paul Singleton, the infant son of Jeremy Ryan and Monique Moreau Singleton, entered the kingdom of heaven on Friday, August 30, 2013. Joshua was a miracle and a gift! He was a warrior from conception until the moment where he just could struggle no more and was called home to our Heavenly Father, where he was united with his twin brother, Jonah, and older brother, Matthew. He is survived by his parents; his 7 year old brother, Noah Matthew; paternal grandparents, Francis and Sherell B. Singleton of Central; maternal grandparents, Edison J. Moreau Jr. of Cottonport and Sherrel C. Moreau of Baton Rouge; paternal great-grandparents, Noah and Juanita Singleton of Lafayette and Gustavia Breaux of Jennings; aunts and uncles, Derrick and Dina Moreau of Prairieville, Eric and Charlene Amos of Prairieville, Mike and Nicole Torrance of Pikeville, TN, Joey and Amy Singleton of Geismar, and numerous cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles. A private graveside service will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park officiated by Deacon Edwin J. Martin. Special thanks to the medical staff of Woman’s Hospital, especially the NICU nurses who have been nurturing and supportive throughout this very trying time. Though with us only a short while, the imprint of his tiny feet will be left in our hearts forever.
