Judith "Judy" Albertine Porche was born on January 8, 1948, and passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, at the age of 73. She was a native of New Roads, LA and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was a 1967 graduate of Capitol High School. Judy retired after 20+ years of service as a preschool teacher at St. Francis Xavier. After retirement, she resumed her career at London Bridge Early Learning Center up until the pandemic began. Judy was a devoted Catholic, a member of St. Louis King of France, until its closing, then joined St. Thomas More, until her death. Spending time with family was extremely important to Judy. Because she never had children, she treated all of her nieces and nephews as her own. She never met a stranger and she will be truly missed by all that knew her. Judy is survived by her sisters, Linda Gardere (Gregory) of Atlanta, GA, Sally Porche and Darlene Porche; brothers, Gerald Porche (Gwen) of Pasco, WA, and Cary Porche (Leann); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Judy is preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Vivian Porche; sisters, Essie Williams, Patricia Scott and Betty Porche; brother, Norton Porche; nephew, Raynard Williams; great-nephew, Marquise Alexander; and brother-in-law, Leslie Scott.
