Born on November 3, 1949, in Delhi, Louisiana, Judy was the firstborn child of John W. Lewis and Melba Jean Arnold. From the very beginning, she was a light to those around her, her heart centered on deep connections and meaningful conversation.
Judy’s first marriage was to Charles Marino, and they had two daughters, Leslie Marino Davis and Lara Marino. Judy later found love again with William (Bill) Fry. Judy’s love expanded to embrace her stepdaughters, Sandra Fry Drewello and Shari Fry Tullier, and their families.
Throughout her career, Judy worked in insurance. When she lived in Morgan City, Louisiana she worked at V.J. Bella Insurance and later became a Metropolitan Life agent. In Baton Rouge, she worked at Persac Agency/Gallagher Insurance for 21 years retiring in October of 2015.
She garnered trust and respect through relationships with her customers and peers. Judy was beloved by all who met her and easily made friends who loved her dearly. Her smile radiated always, and she loved a good game. No matter the game, it was treasured time with friends and family to laugh and share life that mattered.
She was passionate about her church and her faith she shared at St. Margaret’s Episcopal, and played an integral role in forming the children’s ministry. Judy’s family tapestry is woven with the threads of both joy and sorrow.
