Judyth Rose Horne Whitaker was born August 10, 1928 in Oakdale, Louisiana and passed away August 23, 2024 in Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Whitaker, Jr., her parents, W.A. and Josie Horne, her brothers, Thomas A. Horne and William G. Horne and son-in-law, Richard S. Dunn. She is survived by her daughters, Ann Dunn and Mary (Roy) Boudreaux and her son, Thomas L. Whitaker, III (Layne). Mrs. Whitaker is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Always one to speak her mind, Mrs. Whitaker never lost her wit. Her family is grateful to Doe Bond, who faithfully looked after their mother the last few years. Services will be private. Her family requests that any donations in her memory be made to the Baton Rouge Food Bank.
