
Julie (Jill) Barfield Hamilton--a loving wife and mom, a beautiful and faithful friend, an exceptional scholar and sage and a strong woman of faith in God-- passed away on February 17, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, AR. Jill was a native of Baton Rouge, LA and resided in Conway, AR. She completed her B.S. and Master's Degree in Communication Disorders from LSU and received a Nutrition Counselor certification from Columbia University. Jill is survived and remembered by her husband of 28 years, Robert (Bobby) Hamilton; her three children, Julie Oakes and husband Nathanael Oakes, Jonathan Hamilton and Michael Hamilton; her parents, Julie and Thomas Barfield; three siblings, Claudia LaBorde and husband Mark, Thomas (Tim) Barfield and wife Nan, Dr. Louis Barfield and wife Lauren; father-in-law, George Hamilton; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Lee and husband Mike, and Patti Nohra; brother-in-law, Eddy Hamilton and wife Leslie; along with fourteen nieces and nephews. Jill and her husband Bobby served as pastors at New Life Church where they have impacted and touched many people's lives over the past twelve years by offering words of hope, prayers of faith, wisdom, counsel and leadership to those who crossed their paths. Their collective impact for the kingdom of God cannot be summed up in a few words. Jill was also passionate about nutrition and professionally counseled people at Haas Psychiatric and Wellness in addition to advising countless others in need of health guidance out of a spirit of compassion and pure generosity.
