June McManus Palmer stepped into the presence of Glory on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011. She was 82 and a native of Bogalusa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton W. Palmer, who was the minister of the Christian Church of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until the religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by Clint Palmer Jr. June is survived by her three sons, Clint Jr. and wife Debi, of Louisville, Ky., Mark and wife Melissa, of Baton Rouge and Matt and fiancée Angela Forsythe, of Gonzales. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Lee, Seth, Lucas and Kyle Palmer, Misty Lusby, Kristin Palmer, Danielle Watson, Jessica Lapoint, Johnny and Devin Burton and Jada Roddy; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Gamma Theta Sorority at LSU, the Bromeliad Society and the Optimist Club. She was a proud graduate of Baton Rouge High School and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for Den 208. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Ruby St. Dizier; and a son, Paul Dillon Palmer. >
