Karen Denise Wise

Louisiana, she passed away peacefully at home on December 24, 2024. Karen was a 1978

graduate of Belaire High School and worked for the next 30 years in the healthcare industry.

She married the love of her life, Doug Wise, and together they had one son DJ Wise. Karen

enjoyed many years as a member of the Krewe of Romany and was the ball captain in 1999.

Those were some very special times that she shared with her special friends and parents.

She is survived by her mother, Delores Greenlee Barbati; husband Doug Wise; son DJ Wise;

grandchildren Zoey Wise and Aubree Wise; brothers Keith Barbati (Linda) and Willard Willis

(Susan); nieces Ashleigh Mullins,Nicole Sibley (Blake) Raegan Willis; nephew Thomas Willis

(Katharine); uncle and aunt Ronald and Pat Greenlee. She also is survived by her good friend

Kelly Grace.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Henry John Barbati; maternal grandparents Bruce

and Ima Greenlee. and paternal grandparents Henry and Ledi Barbati.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation that will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 from 8:00 AM-10:00 AM.
