Karin Rester Herrin

It is with deep sorrow and profound sadness that the family of Karin Rester Herrin, of Zachary, Louisiana, announce her passing. She left this world to go be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Lance LaBree Herrin, mother of Ashely Renee Williams and grandmother of Caleb Juel Williams, for whom she all loved and adored with her whole heart and soul. She is survived by her parents, Leon and Mary Rester of Zachary; sisters, Kristine Rester of Baton Rouge; Kimberly Rester of Baton Rouge; Kassie Rester and significant other, Kenny Young of Zachary; Kathy McGehee and husband, Rusty McGehee of Zachary; and brother, Jacob Rester and wife, Sonia Rester of Baton Rouge; and her aunt, Sara Maurello. She was affectionally referred to as K.K. and is also survived by her nieces, Brittany Kirby and fiancé Chris Vince; Kayli Wall and husband Josh; Karlyn Sumner and husband, Scott; Morgyn Young; and Londyn McGehee; nephews, Joshua Kirby; Chandler Young and wife, Rebecca; Schyler Fontenot; and Drew McGehee, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Karin loved cooking, reading, listening to her favorite music, gardening and most of all, spending time with her family. Her smile was infectious, and her laugh resonated through the hearts of those around her. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on January 14, 2023, from 10:30am to 11:30am. The Rosary will be prayed at 11:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12:00pm. Pallbearers will be Jacob Rester, Joshua Kirby, Schyler Fontenot, Rob Odom, Rusty McGehee, and Kenny Young. Honorary pallbearers are Chandler Young, Gavin Kirby, Landon Wegner, Drew McGehee and Brody Waters. Karin will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A reception, following the completion of services, will be held in Karin’s honor at 7085 Fleur De Lis, Zachary, La. All are invited to attend.
