Katherine Mary Sylvester

(II Timothy 4:7-8). Katherine Mary Sylvester was born on September 3, 1961 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and died on August 6, 2013 at the Butterfly Wing of the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was the fifth child of Louis Edward and Mary Canino Sylvester. Kathy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Louisiana State University in 1983. She was Managing CSR and Licensed Property and Casualty Agent at Alexander and Sanders Insurance. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, auto races, football, baseball, and basketball games, travel, Broadway musicals, and

shopping. Katherine is survived by a sister, Anne Elizabeth Sylvester Cramer; four brothers: Louis Edward Sylvester and wife, Kay; Victor Joseph Sylvester, Thomas Charles Sylvester and wife Marie; Sam Anthony Sylvester and wife Jennifer; an aunt, Dora Canino Schoenfeld, a niece, nephews and numerous cousins.She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Canino Sylvester, her father, Louis Edward Sylvester, maternal grandmother, Paulina Solito Canino, maternal grandfather, Andrea Charles Canino, paternal grandmother, Alice Sylvester Wentz, paternal grandfather, George Wentz, and her father's maternal grandmother, Anna Elizabeth Peters Sylvester.The Sylvester family wishes to express deepest gratitude to The Hospice of Baton Rouge and the Butterfly Wing at Baton Rouge General Medical Center Midcity. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013. Rosary will be led by the Knights of Columbus at 7:00 p.m.
