
She died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at her home in Baton Rouge. A native of Rockford, Ill., she was born Feb. 12, 1925. Visiting at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 749 East Blvd., on Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Monsignor Robert H. Berggreen, celebrant. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery. She is survived by three daughters, Cammie Comeaux Carville and her husband, David John Carville Jr., Adrienne Anne Comeaux and Jeanne Camille Comeaux, all of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Carville and David J. "Trey" Carville III, both of Baton Rouge, and Sarah Morgan Griffith Bonham and her husband, Matthew Bonham, of Marietta, Ga.; and a great-grandson, Brooks Knighten Carville. She is also survived by a sister, Gloria Bridge Brown, of Bowie, Md. Preceded in death by her husband, George J. Comeaux Jr.; son, George Roussel "Rusty" Comeaux; parents, George and Edna Bridge; six brothers, Charles, David, George, Thomas, Warren and Howard Bridge; three sisters-in-law, Alice Comeaux Aumiller, Evlyn Comeaux Smith and Gertrude Marie Comeaux; three brothers-in-law, Woody K. Smith, Rayburn Brown and George Aumiller; and a dear family friend, Helen M. Foret. Pallbearers will be Matthew Bonham, David J. Carville Jr., David J. Carville III, Walter Comeaux, Glen Kelly, Patrick Tandy and Donald "Blue" Williams. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served as a recruiter during World War II. While working in Okinawa, Japan, she met her future husband, George. They later married in Manila, Philippines on June 30, 1947. The Comeaux family gives special thanks to Marci Armour and Norma Matos for their care and especially to Dr. Carl Luikart for his kindness and personal attention during their mother's illness.
