Kevin James "Rooster" Guy

Kevin James “Rooster” Guy, resident of Port Allen, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Kevin was born on July 22, 1967 in Baton Rouge. He worked as an independent contractor, and was a talented handy man who could fix just about anything. Kevin enjoyed working with his hands in many different capacities including carpentry, automobile repair, and being a stagehand on the road for the band, Henry Turner Jr. and Flavor. He had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed the outdoors. His family and friends will miss him dearly. Kevin is survived by his parents, Darrell and Judith Guy; son, Brandon Lambert; sister, Tracey Dee Guy; nephews and niece, Corey, Jacob and Brelin, numerous aunts and uncles and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his nephew, Anthony Reeves; as well as paternal and maternal grandparents, Flavoris and Zona Marie Guy, and Abraham and Marie Gregoire Blades. The family would like to express a special thanks and appreciation to the US Coast Guard, Port Allen City Police, and West and East Baton Rouge Sherriff’s Departments for their search efforts and support to the family. Visitation will be Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 8:00 am until the funeral service begins at 10:00 am at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
