Kimble Evans, age 22, was a young man of exceptional character—kind, hardworking, and full of integrity, passed away on Sunday February 16th, 2025. His unwavering respect for his mother and father, Hiram and LaTawnya Evans, whom he lovingly called “Madre” and “Ole Man”, was second to none, always honoring them with gratitude, love, and the deepest admiration. He was the loving grandson of Hiram Evans, Jr., Varnell Evans and Janis Stevenson. Kimble is survived by his sister; Joi Evans, his niece; Jewel Russ and his two aunts; Katrina Johnson and Tobia Hargrett. He carried himself with quiet strength, never wavering in his values, and always doing what was right, even when no one was watching. Those who knew him could count on his honesty, dependability, and strong sense of purpose.
His beautiful smile reflected the warmth of his heart, bringing joy to everyone he encountered. He had a natural ability to uplift others, whether through his kindness, his steady presence, or his ability to make people feel valued and respected. His loyalty to family and friends was unmatched, and his love for those closest to him was evident in everything he did.
Kimble was a man of great work ethic and determination. He trained under the union and became a skilled welder, a profession he took immense pride in. His craftsmanship and his dedication to his trade reflected his ambition and drive, as Kimble was always pushing himself to be the best while always striving for excellence. He also had a deep passion for cars, a love that he carried with him throughout his life.
Though his time with us was far too short, Kimble’s legacy of love, respect, and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed, but his impact on the world—through his character, his work, and the love he shared—will never be forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 28th, 2025 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. 70815 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
