

Lance Joseph LaBorde Sr. passed away at his home in Central, LA, on Friday, December 28, 2018, at the age of 86. Lance served in the Korean War for four years as a Staff Sgt. He served on the board of directors for the Mardi Gras Krew of Mystique. Lance was a statewide supervisor of land surveyor crews for the Louisiana DOTD and retired after 42 years of service. He thoroughly enjoyed extensive traveling with family and spending time with them. Lance is survived by his devoted wife of 39 1/2 years, Jan; son, Lance LaBorde, Jr. and wife, Denise; daughter, Wyndi Comeaux; step-son, Donald Easley, Jr. and wife, Terri; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lance is preceded in death by son, Allan LaBorde; daughter, Janet Holton Easley; parents, Lennie and Rose LaBorde; and brothers, Raymond and Allan LaBorde. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 11:00AM until the time of funeral services at 2:00PM. Deacon Brent Duplessis and Rev. Donald Easley, Jr. will be officiating the service. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Cameron LaBorde, Lance LaBorde, III, Stuart LaBorde, Cole Foreman, Micah Holton and Trey Rufini. Honorary pallbearers will be Brittney Comeaux, Jacy Porta, Paige Comeaux, Buddy Bovard, Terry Confer, Brannon Holton, Dustin Easley and Trey Easley. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire staff of St. Joseph's Hospice and all the physicans that were involed in his care.
