
She was born Friday, Sept. 28, 1965, in Beaumont, Texas, and died at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007, at her home in Baker. She was 41 and a former longtime resident of Houston. Laura was a devoted homemaker who loved to cook and decorate her home. She was a retired salesperson and finance manager in the motorcycle industry. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Friday, Sept. 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Saturday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Alec Sheldon, celebrant. Survived by her parents, William David and Elizabeth Ann Mansfield of Baker; two brothers, William David Mansfield III of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Michael James Mansfield and his wife, Francie, of Cincinnati; sister, Martha King Mansfield of Baker; two daughters, Jessica Ann Allen of Baker, and Hannah Eliska Miller of Houston; son, Adam David Miller of Houston; and beloved granddaughter, Magnolia Elizabeth Collins. She leaves a devoted fiancé, Tom Wimberly. She was the aunt of Robert David Pontureri, Conner James Mansfield, Sarah Elizabeth Pontureri, Morgan Frances Mansfield and Madeline Elizabeth Mansfield. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William David Mansfield Sr., Martha Kline Mansfield, Col. James L. Keasler and Edna Earle Keasler; and uncle, Jim Keasler. No one who met Laura ever forgot her; she leaves many friends to honor her memory.
