Linda Diane Ashford

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Diane Ashford, who left us on May 25, 2024 at the age of 67. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter and friend to so many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Linda was born on November 6th, 1956 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Murray and Eloise Nalley. She grew up in Baton Rouge and attended Redemptorist High School and graduated in 1974.

She married Richard Ashford in December of 1974, and together they had two daughters, Amy and Emily.

Linda was best known for her humor, kindness and style. She was a gifted seamstress and always crafty. She taught preschool for many years and would eventually become director of St. Patrick Preschool where she shared her love of children and teaching.

Linda Ashford is survived by her husband, Richard Ashford and two daughters Amy Ashford and Emily Ashford. Her sons-in-law are James Dubnansky and Dale Watts, granddaughters, Madalyn Dubnansky and Madeleine Watts. She is also survived by her mother, Eloise Nalley and her sister, Debbie Newman along with extended family and many close friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life which will be held on Tuesday, June 4th 2024 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. 70815 from 10 am-12 pm. A memorial service will start at 12 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area in Linda Ashford's honor.
