Lois S. Durbin, 96, passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010. A native of Albany and a resident of Baton Rouge, she was a longtime member of Florida Boulevard and Parkside Baptist churches. Lois retired as a LPN from Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Ohnte and Bill Huffmaster, Lou Magee, and Fay Nichols; son and daughter-in-law, Eldridge and Joanne Durbin; sister, Eula Rae Albin; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Sarah Stewart; husband, Norman Eldridge Durbin Sr.; daughter, Nell Pinell; and brothers, Eddie Stewart and Carl Wagner. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Monday, Oct. 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until religious service at noon. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
