
A retired Raceland Elementary School teacher with 25 years service and resident of Baton Rouge since 1996, she died at home Monday, March 15, 2010. She was 85, a native of Melville and former 50-year resident of Raceland. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Thursday, March 18, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes on Friday at Church of the Way-Presbyterian, 250 S. Foster Drive, from 10 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Ted Roeling. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a daughter, Lettye R. Harris and husband Adrian, of Baton Rouge; a son, Dr. John L. Robert Jr. and wife Claire, of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Leslie Harris LaBorde and husband Glen, of Baton Rouge, John L. Robert III and wife Lauren Guedry Robert, of New Orleans, and Dr. Elizabeth Claire Robert, of Nashville, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren, Mignon Eloise LaBorde and Lucille Claire Robert. Lolette was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John L. Robert; and her parents, Myatt L. and Marie Falkenheiner Bond. She was a graduate of Cheneyville High School, Cheneyville, and Southwestern Louisiana Institute, now ULL. Her family wishes to thank Dr. Judd Patten and Dr. Steven Gremillion for their loving care, to her Church of the Way church family for their love and kindness, the oncology unit staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for their care and comfort and a special thanks to Dr. Richard Robichaux, of Raceland for a lifetime of care and friendship. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Way-Presbyterian.
