Louis Leonard Sicard

Louis Leonard Sicard, lovingly known as “Honey” by his wife of 68 years, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the age of 90. He was born in Baton Rouge to Marcie and Mildred Sicard and graduated from Catholic High School. Leonard retired as a route salesman from Bordens Ice Cream. He loved doing woodworking in his garage, camping with friends and spending time with his family. Leonard was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Lerlene McMillan Sicard; his children, David (Beckie), Evelyn (Ronnie), Carl, Juanita (Ray), Melissa, and Greg; brothers and sisters, Donald, Earline, Judy (Gus), Adrien ( Linda),Darryl (Minta), Dennis (Sue), Beverly, Roland (Anita); brother-in-law, Edwin (Janet); 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Marcie and Mildred; son, Ronald; brothers, Rene, Irvin; and a sister, Verna Nell. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm and from 9 to 11 am on Wednesday, with Rosary at 10 am November 27, 2024 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, followed by mass at 11 am. A graveside service will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Darryl Sicard, Dennis Sicard, Adrien Sicard, Roland Sicard, David Sicard, Jr., and Justice Cleaver.
