I had forgotten that Lou was your dad!  Just loved working with him at Dow; and,  he certainly lived up to his namesake, "Witty" (whitty).  Your dad had the greatest sense of humor!  I know that you will miss him and I hope that you will treasure the wonderful memories provided by him.  I intended to send you a card but the phone book does not list your address so I thought this may be another way to let you know how special you are and how much your dad was valued. My deepest sympathies to the family. I have many great memories of Louis, particularly at RDHC. He zero'd all of my boys and they will be forever grateful for that. I will miss all of the great stories and laughs we had when Louis was around but am thankful to have those wonderful memories.

Prayers and condolences to the Witty family.  Louis and I went to school and graduated from Bunkie in 1954.  We went separate ways but always talked of old times at class reunions, the last one in Bunkie in May 2011.  A real treat to be around and always had something funny to say.  We will miss him.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Witty!   He was such a sweet person and will truly be missed!  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you!


Brenda, Mike and Grant, "Ka" Louie was so special to all of the Gang at the Red Diamond. His memory will live on forever with all of us who grew up around him. His smile, his laugh his sense of humor will be in my heart for all of the days of my life. He told me as tears welled in his eyes at "Ace" Peavys funeral, "We have lost one of our own". Sadly again, "We have lost one of our own".

Grant Witty and fmly.,I will always cherish the memories with your Dad at Red Diamond. He passed on many things through the years from making the perfect lemon pie to the art of snipe hunting. He was a good friend and will be dearly missed.

My deepest sympathies to the family.  I am so sorry for your loss; Uncle Louis Grant, as we referred to him was such a great friend to my dad, CK and mom, Paula.  I recall so many stories, so much laughter.  One of the last times I recall seeing Uncle LG was at the gym at Catholic High Pointe Coupee, he was the number one fan of his granddaughter playing volleyball.  He will be missed.  May God Bless Him and His Family.
