

Lydia was a resident of Gillsburg, MS. and a native from Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on January 2, 1962, to parents Gene Olinde and Brenda Chiaramonte. Mrs. Lydia was a proud graduate of Southwest Misissippi Community College as a registered nurse; a career which she loved for thirty years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, and was part of the Recovery Community. She was a devoted animal lover, loved Jesus, playing with her grandkids, going to the coast and family gatherings, especially, Easter for this was Lydia’s favorite holiday.
She is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Ronnie Smith; daughter, Savannah Smith; son, Dillon (Rebecca) Savoy; stepdaughter, Chasity (Ryan) King; stepson, Warren (Heidi) Smith; grandchildren, Shaylah Smith, Ryder, Remi Savoy, Shaw, Noah, Callie, Cassidy King; her second mother, Merilyn “Lou” Crum; her dear best friend of 50 years, Beverly Ransford; and numerous siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She will be deeply missed by her puppy dogs, Snoop, Holly, and Whiskey.
Preceded in death are, her mother, Brenda Chiaramonte, father, Gene Olinde and stepfather, Tony Chiaramonte.
Visitation will take place at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., on Friday, August 2, from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00pm.
