

"Lynda Bostic Evans, age 71, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on February 14th, 2018, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in McComb, MS. Lynda graduated from Broadmoor High School and attended North Texas State University. She was the former Executive Vice President of the Capital Region Builder's Association for whom she was also a registered lobbyist and an inductee into the CRBA Hall of Fame. Lynda served as a former board member of the Shenandoah Estate Crime Prevention and Improvement District. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, George; children Ashley Evans, Donna DiVittorio (Frank), and Kerry Evans (Jette); and grandchildren Elizabeth Shelton, Matthew Shelton, Alanna DiVittorio, Amanda DiVittorio and Amber Coco. Lynda is preceded in death by her parents, James A Bostic and Dell K Bostic, and her sister Pat Bradshaw. The family wishes to recognize two amazing women, Denise Emmons and Mary Beth Arceneaux, both of whom tirelessly assisted every step of the way. Thank you also to Dr. Jay Brooks and staff of Ochsner Cancer Center and St. Joseph Hospice staff for their excellent care. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service that will be held at Rabenhorst East in Baton Rouge on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018, with visitation beginning at 10:30am until services at 1:00pm. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in memory of Lynda B Evans to The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the Ochsner Foundation, or the charity of your choice.
