They have given Peggy 3 great-grandchildren and 1 more on the way. Peggy has said that the happiest and the most wonderful time of her life was being a substitute teacher at Broadmoor Middle School. The staff and faculty were so wonderful. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Rosel (Mrs. Joseph A. Blanchard), her wonderful son, Michael A. Blanchard, his lovely wife Kate, their precious daughter Charley, and other nieces and nephews of Al's. Before her declining health prevented her from attending, she was an active member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. She was so grateful and appreciative of the wonderful and considerate help given to her by Mr. Brent Salter, C.P.A., Mr. James H. Morgan, III, and Mr. Steve Newman. Also to all the medical physicians and their staff for their help and consideration, especially Dr. Joel Silverburg, Dr. Gerald Barber, Dr. Mark Hodges, Dr. Thomas Heigle, Dr. Michael Shannon, and Dr. Robin Shannon. A private service was held as per Peggy's wishes. She was buried with her husband of 46 years at Port Hudson National Cemetery.
