She passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at age 78. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Dye and husband Mathew; sons, Arthur "A.G." Rogers and wife Darlene, and Jeffrey Lynn Guy; special "brother" A.J. Kent Sr.; and grandchildren Johnny Blount Jr., Jason Rogers and Dara Dye. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva Slocum and Joe Crawford; her aunt/mother, Minerva Kent and husband Allie; siblings, Ruth Lenoir and Joyce Milligan; and adopted siblings, Allean Bankston, Esther Phillips and Stanley Kent. A special thanks to the staff and friends at St. Martin de Porres in Lake Charles for the care and love given to her the past 20 years. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
