Margaret H. Hirschey

Margaret H. Hirschey, a native of Houston Texas and a resident of Baton Rouge Louisiana, passed away on April 15, 2016 at the age of 64. She was a loving wife, mother, grand-mother, and friend to many. She enjoyed spending time with her loving husband of 43 years, her three sons, and joyful grandchildren. We also don’t want to forget about her canine companion, Mollie. She loved cooking, reading, working puzzles, baking, and shopping with her friend Teena Goff. She was a devoted play school teacher and center supervisor at Antioch BREC Park. She also worked at the O’Neal Walmart for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. Harrison and Willie E. Smith Harrison; and brothers, Jim, Richard, Kenneth, Clarence and Bill. She is survived by her husband, Tom Hirschey; three sons: Roy and wife, Gina, Chris and wife, Michelle, Greg and wife, Lindsay; six grandchildren McKayla, Averie, Lathan, Ruston, Ryland, and Garret; three sisters: Carolyn and husband, Bob Cornett, Elizabeth Kendrick, Jennette Harrison; two Brother-in-laws: Ricky Farrell, Ray and LuAnn Farrell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
