
Margaret "Peg" Grindell Stafford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 15, 1920, in Topeka, Kan., was a former longtime resident of Dallas and lived in Baton Rouge for the past 15 years. She was a graduate of Southern Methodist University, Dallas, and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was a member of the Baton Rouge Country Club, Modern Reviewers Book Club and Pensar Parlez. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Robitaille and husband Rick, of Casper, Wyo., and Nancy Ward and husband Lew, of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, Karen Hinchey and husband Bruce, and John Robitaille and wife Beth, all of Casper, and Robert Ward and wife Wendy, and Steve Ward and wife Jennifer, all of Baton Rouge; and 10 great-grandchildren, Austin and Amanda Hinchey and Thomas, David and Jack Robitaille, all of Casper, and Thomas and Taylor Ward and Anna Catherine, Olivia, and Lewis Ward, all of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert N. Stafford Jr. Peg cherished her family and loved them above all else. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Greater Baton Rouge. There will be a private memorial service. Arrangements by Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St.
