Margie Lee Bennett Hollimon

She was a retired elementary school teacher for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, having taught for 34 years. Margie was a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Hammond. She died at 8:15am, Friday, April 20, 2012, at her residence. She was 94. Margie was a charter member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. She was also a longtime member Krewe of Romany, Order of the Eastern Star and the East Baton Rouge Parish Retired Teachers Association. Visitation will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church Sunday from 1:00pm until the religious service at 3:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Terry Ellis. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. She is survived by her daughter: Jean Heineman&husband Jim of Springtown, Texas; her son: Jerry A. Hollimon&wife Lynda of Hammond; four grandchildren: Kimberly Hoover&husband Wyn, Bradford Hollimon&wife Amy, Casey Heineman&wife Ashley, and Jodie Lamb&husband Lauren; five greatgrandchildren: Chase and Jack Hoover, Sophia and Lillian Hollimon, and Hadley Heineman. Margie was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Griffin Hollimon; her parents: Benjamin T.&Fannie Myers Bennett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Oaks Hospice, P. O.
