
She was a retired elementary school teacher for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, having taught for 34 years. Margie was a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Hammond. She died at 8:15am, Friday, April 20, 2012, at her residence. She was 94. Margie was a charter member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. She was also a longtime member Krewe of Romany, Order of the Eastern Star and the East Baton Rouge Parish Retired Teachers Association. Visitation will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church Sunday from 1:00pm until the religious service at 3:00pm, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Terry Ellis. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. She is survived by her daughter: Jean Heineman&husband Jim of Springtown, Texas; her son: Jerry A. Hollimon&wife Lynda of Hammond; four grandchildren: Kimberly Hoover&husband Wyn, Bradford Hollimon&wife Amy, Casey Heineman&wife Ashley, and Jodie Lamb&husband Lauren; five greatgrandchildren: Chase and Jack Hoover, Sophia and Lillian Hollimon, and Hadley Heineman. Margie was preceded in death by her husband: Thomas Griffin Hollimon; her parents: Benjamin T.&Fannie Myers Bennett. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Oaks Hospice, P. O. Box 2668, Hammond, La. 70404. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. in charge of arrangements.
