Marie Bain

Dorothy Marie Hogan Bain, 93 of Baton Rouge, LA, was born October 13, 1929, to Daniel Esco and Janie Seals Hogan. She passed away on January 17, 2023. She lived with her son after her husband passed for the last seven years. She worked for South Central Bell and retired with 30 years in 1983. After retiring, her and her husband, W.C. "Toby" Bain, traveled cross country enjoying the RV Lifestyle and the outdoors and landed in Destin, Florida, developing 3 RV campgrounds with their RV friends, but eventually came back home to Louisiana. She is survived by her son, Willie and daughter-in-law, Peggy and grandson, Jason, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Shirley Jones, and sisters, Lexie Bond, Josephine Lea and Ola Mae Hogan Daniel, and brothers, Ray and Jessie Hogan. Visitation will be Saturday, January 21, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd from 9 to 11 with services following. Graveside service will follow at Greensburg Cemetery in Greensburg, LA, at 1 pm
