Marie Leola "Loly" Guidry

"A native of Cecilia, LA and long term resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the age of 92. She was the heart of the family and had the most infectious smile. Her greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her daughters Vickie Guidry Edmonston (husband Johnny), Belle Guidry Cashio (husband Randy), Celine Guidry Millet (husband David), Stephanie Guidry Hebert (husband Darrell), Susan Guidry Tucker (husband Rusty), and Angela Guidry Taylor (husband John); sisters Elizabeth Avera, Elsie Judice, Odille Roberts, and Agnes LeBlanc; brothers James Hamilton and David Hamilton; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren. Loly was preceded in death by her husband Stephens Guidry; parents Joseph Carsen Hamilton and Laurence Angelle Hamilton; and brother Leroy Hamilton. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, celebrated by Rev. Cleo Milano. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Mausoleum. Serving as Pallbearers will be John Edmonston, Jason Cashio, Paul Hebert, Clay Tucker, Chase Kleinpeter, Stephen Rounds, Drew Cashio, and John Fortenbery. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center for the loving care given to Mom.
