
"Marie McAdams, born February 26, 1922 in Clarendon, Vermont, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Marie dedicated her life to nursing, serving during World War II as a lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps in the Philippines, continuing her nursing career in Baton Rouge, and always taking an active role in caring for her family, friends, and neighbors. She was a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church and in earlier years Trinity Presbyterian Church. Her gentle spirit was a welcome comfort to all who knew her. Marie is survived by her three sons, Michael McAdams (Susan), Brien McAdams (Katherine), and Dean McAdams; granddaughters Stacey Robillard, Cynthia Good (Timothy), Martha Richard (Scott), Elena Ponseti (John), Deborah Downey (Shane), and Laretta Hull (Erick); grandsons Brendan McAdams (Lauren), and Travis McAdams (Kelly); great-granddaughters Morgan Robillard, Cybelle Good, and Madison McAdams; great-grandsons Trevor Good, Tristan Good, and Gavin Richard. Preceded in death by her parents Clyde R. Fiske, Sr. and Emma C. Fiske, siblings Clyde, Jr., Elizabeth, Edwin, Laura and Gladys, daughter Gale McAdams Rich, grandson Andrew McAdams, and daughter-in-law Robin Spence McAdams. Religious services and celebration of life will be held at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, 9340 Florida Blvd. at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 11 with visitation from 1:00 PM until the start of service.
