

"A retired Istrouma Baptist Church secretary and resident of Baton Rouge, Marilyn Manchester passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at the age of 84. A native of Newside, PA, Marilyn proudly served her country as a U.S. Army WAC during the Korean War. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East Chapel on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 5 pm until 9 pm and resumes on Thursday, Dec. 29, from 9 am until religious services at 11 am conducted by Rev. Huey Moak. Burial with honors will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker. She is survived by two daughters, Donna M. Gauthier and husband Daryle of Baton Rouge, and Lisa Manchester of Dallas, TX; sister, Ruth Cimino of Saylorsburg, PA; brother, Mark Kistler of Emmaus, PA; three grandchildren, Chris Lebeuf, Erin Baer and husband Andrew, and Jillian Gauthier; two great-grandchildren, Vivian Baer and Christian Baer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Elmo D. "Bo" Manchester; and daughter and son-in-law, Kathi and André Lebeuf. Pallbearers will be Daryle Gauthier, Andrew Baer, Chris Lebeuf, Kevin Scott, Earl Wood and James Waters. She was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church, American Legion Nicholson Post #38 and Louisiana Women Veterans. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center.
