Marion W. Cornish

A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2006. She was born on March 13, 1913, inRugby, N.D., and was a resident of Baton Rougefor the past 16 years. She was a member of theFirstUnitedMethodistChurch, a retired registered nurse and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert W. Cornish; and her sister, Harriet Davis. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Sondergaard and her husband, John Sondergaard; three granddaughters and their husbands, Becki and Michel Rozet, Tracy and Brett Wacker, and Ericka and Ryan Seidemann; a grandson and his wife, Mike and Pam Sondergaard; eight great-grandchildren, Colbie and Reese Wacker, Jessica Wacker Gooch, Evan and Rachel Rozet, Alex and Jake Sondergaard and Elizabeth Seidemann; and a sister, Dorothy Zech. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m.Thursday, Dec. 7, atFirstUnitedMethodistChurchin the Aldrich Chapel. Interment will be atElwoodCemeteryinElwood, Iowa.
