Marion John Ingalls

Private graveside services will be held for Mr. Marion John Ingalls who passed away at the age of 82 on August 1, 2021. Mr. Ingalls served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves as a young man then became a Baton Rouge City Policeman, motorcycle division, before turning to construction. He was a pipe welder with the Local 198 and then he started traveling the U.S. and the world with his wife in contract pipeline construction. Mr. Ingalls loved the beach, the ocean, his family and his work. He was also a former member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife, Yeong Ingalls; sons, Mark Ingalls (Vaun Dell), Mickey Ingalls; daughter, Hope Laochumnanvanit (Kiatkoon “Jake”); step children, Sandy Bass (Chad), Dylan Clark; sister, Sammie Dugas; grandchildren, Brooke, Micah, Lainah, Krystal, Hector and great-grandchildren, Cooper, Clarke, Marley and Scarlett. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Ingalls and Pearl Jeter Ingalls; son, Michael John Ingalls; former spouse, Millie Sharp Ingalls; brother, Jerrell Ingalls and sister, Dell Tyrell. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
