

Mark Anthony Ragusa (1963-2026) passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2026. Mark was born in Baton Rouge, LA and was baptized at Our Lady of Mercy Church where his family have been long-standing members. He graduated from Tara High School in 1982 where he played sports and built long-lasting friendships that meant the world to him. Mark loved fishing, LSU, boiling crawfish, telling jokes, and most of all, loved being around people. Mark was known for his infectious laughter, his unwavering kindness, his genuine care for others, and his deep love for family.
Mark is survived by his children; Tony Ragusa, Tori Bohrer (Joseph), and Taylor Ragusa; grandchildren, Izzy Ragusa, Mikey Chisholm, River Chisholm, James Bohrer, and Grayson Bohrer; his parents, Philip and Lorraine Ragusa; sisters, Terri Ragusa Price (Randy) and Phillis Ragusa; he is also survived by two nieces and one nephew.
Mark was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Ragusa; grandparents, Mary and Ben P. Ragusa Sr., Amy and Sidney Gautreaux Sr.
Pallbearers will be Tony Ragusa, Joseph Bohrer, Matt Bolton, Dale Martrain, Allen Rodgers, Ricky Lee, Craig David, and Lyle Peak. Honorary pallbearers are Sid J. Gautreaux, III, Chad David, Wayne Gann, and Brett Gautreaux.
A visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, located at 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA, 70806, on February 21, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow. He will be laid to rest in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
