Martha Bourg

Martha M. Bourg "Aunt Mart" passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022. She was 92 years of age. She was born on May 13, 1929 to Cornelia Hebert Bourg and Clarence S. Bourg in Baton Rouge. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy and was a life-long resident of Baton Rouge, retiring from Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ervin, Clarence and Theodore (T.J.); and one sister, Sister Elizabeth of the religious order of the Immaculate Conception. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lorraine Metternich Bourg and numerous nieces and nephews. She was "feisty", set in her ways and always speaking her mind but was a loving Daughter, Sister and Aunt. She will be fondly remembered! A special thanks to John Feig who has been there for her over the past number of years to take her to Church, Dr Appointments, family functions, etc. and to go "to bat" for her when needed. She will be missed by all! A visitation is scheduled March 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
