Martha Jean Church

Martha Jean Church passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the age of 95. She is the daughter of Leroy and Lorena Moseley of Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband David Paul Church; her oldest son Larry Bernard Collier, and her three sisters Shirley, Elsie and Dorothy. Martha Jean is survived by her son Randy, her son Dickie and his wife Tama; her three stepdaughters Diane, Robin and Jennifer. She had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Jean (as she was known by her friends) was a faithful member of University Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, LA. She loved her Sunday School Class and especially enjoyed her trips with the Prime Timers. Jean loved music and used her gift as a member in the church choir. Jean spent her childhood in Monroe, LA. At the age of nine, as a GA at the First Baptist Church of Monroe, Jean received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She remained faithful to Him all her days. The family expresses their sincere gratitude to those caregivers, nurses and residents at Landmark Nursing Home. The family also appreciates the support and prayers of the members of her Sunday School Class at University Baptist Church. A private burial will take place at Greenoaks Memorial Park at a later date.
