
A native of Rougon and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006. She was born Feb. 21, 1928. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Herman J. Blanchard; daughters and son-in-law, Pat Duhon of False River, Linda and Johnny Gaudin of Baton Rouge and Beverly Pourciau of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Lawrence Bizette of Baton Rouge, Roger Bizette of Mix, and James Earl Bizette of Baker; two sisters, Mildred McCann of River Ridge and Shirley Easterling of Monroe; seven grandchildren, Jarrod Duhon of Huntersville N.C., Danielle Duhon of Bozeman, Mont., Kim Gaudin of Walker, Jeff Gaudin and April Gaudin, both of Baton Rouge, Steven Pourciau of Pride and Michelle Whitine of Baton Rouge; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Noellie Bizette; brother, Carroll Bizette; and sister, Esther Ruth Bizette. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Sunday Dec. 3, from 5 p.m.to 9 p.m.Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:30 a.m.and will continue until religious service at 10 a.m.in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow atGreenoaksMemorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrod Duhon, Steven Pourciau, Johnny Gaudin, John McCann, Jeff Gaudin and Chris McCann. Mrs. Blanchard was a special lady, who enjoyed calling and talking to all of her friends on her cell phone. She loved playing cards, especially Bourre', and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
