Mary was an amazing stay at home Mom. Once her youngest child began school, she worked as a paraeducator for years in East Baton Rouge Parish Schools with students who have special needs. She had a giving spirit and opened her home to many over the years. She was a talented dancer and many admired her as she ballroom danced with her husband. Mary had a special relationship with her grandsons, John, Luke and Cameron beginning when she would care for them as infants, helping with homework and sharing her ice cream through them assisting with her daily care as her health declined. Her family was extensive and included many lifelong precious friends. Mary was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Throughout her life, she often reminded her loved ones, “I love you to the moon and back.”
Services will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a service in the chapel beginning at 2:00 p.m.
