A loving mother and homemaker passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015. Her love for flowers and her creativity made her a very accomplished florist who retired after many years. She was a native of Plaquemine, LA and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and Denham Springs, LA. She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Winona Nonie LeJeune, Cathy Easley and husband Jay, Randall (Randy) and wife, Susan, and Michael (Dale) and wife Mona; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; and one sister, Helen Hebert. She is preceded in death by her husband, N. Norman Babin; daughter, Melissa Babin; parents, Henry and Clelie Rome; and grandson, Brandon Easley. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, from 6 PM until 9 PM and will resume on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, from 8 AM until funeral service at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family of Elsie would like to express how much it meant to have our mother shown such love and compassion by her caregivers. We could not have had her stay in her own home without your help. Thanks to Carolyn Helmke, Kathee Mobley, Brittany Runnels, Brandy Easley, Danielle Gill, Wilda Philpott, Norma Rushing, and Kathy T. Special thanks to Communicate, Linda Leger, New Century Hospice and Immaculate Conception Church of Denham Springs.
