Mary Ann Hancock, a native of Akron, OH, and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at the age of 86. Visitation will be held Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2021 Tara Blvd., beginning at 12:30 until memorial services at 2 pm officiated by Rev. Michael Button. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 63 years, John Hancock; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Wetzel and husband Thomas; two sons and daughters-in-law, John Hancock, III and Mollie and Steven Hancock and wife Ann; four grandchildren, Chloe, Elise, Katherine and Todd; one great grandchild, Jack. Preceded in death by a grandson, John Hancock, IV, and a brother James W. Dessecker, Jr. Donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
