

Mary, a loving wife of Colonel Francis Landry Kirk will be truly missed by her family and friends. She was born November 21, 1920 in West Virginia and died Sunday September 14, 2014 (93) at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. Mary will be remembered by her love to serve others as she baked Hello Dollies, Lemon square and other favorites. She loved to decorate her home for the holidays and enjoyed working in her yard. Boating every weekend with family and friends was one of her favorite pass times. Mary was very active in her community as charter member of the LaMousse Garden Club, Girl Scouts, Women's Auxiliary Military Order of World Wars and member Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. Visitation at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ted Roeling. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband Col. Francis Landry Kirk; parents, Andy and Margaret Matovich, brothers: Pete, Joe, Dan, John, Jimmy, sisters: Kate Juhas, Anne Hrametz, Rose Milkovich. Survivors include her brother Andy, a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Sammie Kirk; nieces and nephews, Margie Sutphin, Jimmy Matovich, Kay Griffon Smart, Martha Townsend, Donna and Frank Bass, Susan and Bill Ethridge, Mark and Lisa Kirk, and Lorraine and Paul Kirk. Pallbearers will be Paul, Mark, Frank, Larry Farris, Landry Kirk and Austin Kirk. Honorary pallbearer will be Don Kirk. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broadmoor Presbyterian Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
