

Mary Patricia Conley Wascom a native of Belmont, Massachusetts and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Landmark of Baton Rouge at the age of 92. Mary was a graduate of Belmont High School, class of 1941. She was the owner of Mary Wascom & Associates, representing numerous local artists, retiring at the age of 75. Mary was an avid reader and writer of poetry. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Conley; her husband, Harold Loyd Wascom, Sr.,three brothers, Edward Conley, Richard Conley, and Charles Conley; two sisters, Frances Conley and Gertrude Miles; daughter-in-law, Beverly Wascom. Mary is survived by her three children, Donna Davis (Curtis) of Gonzales, Jack Wascom of Richton, Mississippi and Harold Wascom, Jr. of Baton Rouge; brother, John Conley (Margot) of Oosterville, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Lauri Harris, Jill Doiron, Michelle Sweatland, Patricia Courville, Courtney Commander, and P.J. Labauve (Clair); 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in her memory to Attn: Father Rubin Reynolds at St. Mark’s Church, 42021 Hwy 621 Gonzales, Louisiana 70737. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 10 am-12pm with a rosary beginning at 11:30am. Memorial services will begin at 12pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
