Michael "Mike" Anthony MacDonald passed away Tuesday morning, December 9, 2014, at his home. On Saturday, December 13, 2014, there will be an hour visitation starting at 5 pm with no viewing, followed by a memorial service at 6 pm, both in the North Chapel of Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Government Street. Mike was 68, born in Denver, the son of Winbourn "Mac" MacDonald and Florence Digaetano. The 4th of 4 children including sister Janet MacDonald (deceased), Steve MacDonald, and eldest John MacDonald. He grew up in Reno, Nevada, graduated from Reno High, and later from The Colorado School of Mines with a degree in mathematics, and a Masters in Industrial Engineering. In college, he met and married his wife of 45 years, Lynda MacDonald. In 1973, they moved to Baton Rouge, LA, and in 1975, she gave birth to their twins, David and Daniel. Lynda died in 2012 due to a chronic illness and Michael married Lynne Hyatt in 2014, whom he leaves behind along with his children and their wives, his grandchildren and brothers. He will be remembered by the love he gave and the countless unselfish acts towards all around him.
