Michael Brent Deal

"Michael Brent Deal, 57, passed away peacefully on Monday January 9, 2017, surrounded by his family. Mike devoted his life to his four daughters, was a great friend and impacted the lives of so many. From a young age, he developed a passion for fishing. Throughout his life he spent many days on the water, his favorite place to be besides jamming out in his living room on his many guitars. He proudly served our country in the US Air Force for over 12 years and worked at Exxon-Mobil for nearly 20 years. Michael was a loving father and an amazing friend who will be deeply missed by all. He is survived by the following: Daughter Ashley Berger, her husband Michael and their four children- Abigail, Amelia, Harrison Michael, and Brayden Michael; daughter Amie Inman, her husband Luke and their son Clyde Michael expected to arrive in May 2017; daughter Sarah Begley, her husband Paul and their daughter Carsyn Mae; daughter Joanna Deal and her son Dawson Michael; brother Marcus, his wife Denise, and their children Leah and Taylor; uncle Ellis Michael, his wife Cynthia, and their daughter Christi; along with many other family members. Michael is preceded in death by his parents Marcus "Frank" and Mary "Mae" Deal. Visitation will be held Friday, January 13 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by services at Rabenhorst Funeral Homes East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815. Burial immediately following at Roselawn Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Berger, Luke Inman, Paul Begley, Taylor Deal, Alex Cormier, and Cal Ebey. Special thanks to the staff at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and the staff of Hospice of Greater Baton Rouge for their dedicated service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Greater Baton Rouge or the Colon Cancer Alliance in Michael's name.
