Noah J. Berthelot, Jr.

"Buddy passed away peacefully at the Southeast Louisiana War Veteran's Home in Reserve, surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 16, 2018.  He was 89, and a native of St. Gabriel, La.  He was a 25-year veteran of the Army, served in the Korean and Vietnam War, and retired as a Staff Sergeant.  He also retired from Novartis Chemical in St. Gabriel.  Visitation will take place Friday, September 21, 2018, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church from 9:00am until Christian Mass of Burial at 11:00am, celebrated by Father Charles Landry. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Walk in the St Gabriel Catholic Church Cemetery.  Buddy is preceded in death by his mother and father, Noah and Yolande Berthelot; brothers, Cecil, Leonard, and Kenneth Berthelot.  He is survived by his brother, Warren Berthelot; nieces Shaune Berthelot, Andrea (Peter) Schuster, and nephew Warren (Kristen) Berthelot, Jr.; and great nieces and nephews, Avery Claire Landess, Anna, Lauren, and Grant Schuster, and Reid and Hayes Berthelot.  Special thanks to the staff at the Southeast Louisiana War Veteran's Home in Reserve, the Heart of Hospice, and caregiver Jackie Berthelot, for the care and support during his final days.
