Norma, 79 years of age and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on May 20, 2022 from complications from Alzheimer's. She was at her home surrounded by family. Norma, as she was known by her family and friends, was born on March 16, 1943 in Plaucheville, Louisiana. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School in Plaucheville. She retired from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System after 23 years.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents J. Alexander Lemoine, Jr. and Mae Mary Lemoine both of Plaucheville.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Kenneth B. Baker, who was her primary caregiver. She leaves behind 3 daughters, Alison A. Bell, Amy T. Santos (Henry) and Angelle H. LeBlanc (Tony). She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren Lolly Sango, Carlie Pierce, Christian LeBlanc (Phoenix) and Camryn LeBlanc, 5 great-grandchildren Aidynn, Beau, Wade, Jay and Ezra, 6 siblings and their spouses - Louise (Stewart) Rabalais, Nettie (A.J.) Scardina, Franklin (Shirley) Lemoine, Natalie (Lynn) Scallan, Errol (Mary Grace) Lemoine and Joey (Mary Jo) Lemoine as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family members.
Pallbearers will be Tony LeBlanc, Christian LeBlanc, Jaython Dixon, Jeremy Pate Errol Lemoine and Joey Lemoine.
Visiting hours will take place at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. with services immediately following. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family expresses gratitude for the loving care given to Norma by Baton Rouge Hospice and their kindnesses extended to her family.
